FCST: 1/19-20 Southeast/Carolinas snowstorm

NAM and GFS both painting impressive QPF over plummeting temps across the Carolinas on Saturday, with a sharp rain/snow line in central NC moving southeast into Sunday. Models indicating the possibility over 8 inches on the cold side of the rain/snow line, which may include the Piedmont & Triad areas of NC (Raleigh/Greensboro/Winston Salem) - a particularly rare event for the region.

Heavy Snow Warning is now in effect for Central Alabama including my area. Looks like we are going to wetbulb with some 3-8" totals.
