Sad sad news. :(

RIP Eric. I will always remember the many conversations we had and how you seemed to love the random words I would come up with to describe boring weather here in Chicago.

Hopefully you now have a front row seat to all of natures fury!

My Thoughts and Prayers are with Eric's family and friends.

My thoughts an prayers are with his family, may he rest in peace and his memories never be forgotten......

Terrible news. I only met Eric once, and that occurred while chasing June 7th 2009. On the initial northern supercell, I was filming on the side of a dirt road when his crew decided to take advantage of the same hill top to film the developing storm. He was very animated and excited about the potential that the storm in front of him held describing in great detail all of the storm features and processes that were occurring. At one time, I'll now never forget him just saying "How can you NOT love weather?"

Wow this is horrible... I'm so embarrassed to say that I've somehow completely missed this thread all the times I've been in over the past few months. I had no idea... Eric and I never met in person but exchanged a number of PMs in the past, and he really seemed like a great, great guy. I'm so sorry to see this.

My condolences and prayers are with his family and friends. RIP Eric.

VERY VERY SAD! :(

Prayers go out to Eric's family and friends. I never talked with Eric in person but my interactions with him on this site lead me to believe he was an amazing individual and it is without a doubt this world was a lot better with Eric around. We lost a great one, he will be missed by many!

It is always sad to hear of news such as this. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends. I never met Eric, and only talked with him through email correspondence a few times. I know he will be sorely missed. His friends and family will stay in my thoughts and prayers.
