I remember back when Eric was getting involved with the chase community. He is one who earned a lot of respect quickly throughout the community by not only his deep passion but his outgoing personality.

It saddens me to hear of the most recent developments in his health after checking on this daily and hearing the encouraging words.

My heart goes out to him and his family.

Eric contacted me a few months back regarding streaming. He couldn't understand why people would stream their chase; yet he was sorta interested in having a stream! We joked about that through several message exchanges and determined he would wait a year to see how streaming tech evolved in 2010. It seems most of his ideas and plans were based in the near future and never did he seem to live in the past. I'm sure a lot of us could use a page or two from the Eric Flescher book of life in that respect.

Here's looking to the future and hoping for miracles!

Does anyone have an address for the Hospice facility?

Speaking from recent personal experience, all this praying is 'nice,' but letters, flowers, etc., matter much more to a family who is watching their loved one slowly die.

I was just wondering if it is possible to have a special chapter for Eric in the Stormsof2010 Charity DVD? I think we did a chapter for Eric Nyguyen in the 07 DVD. Anyone else interested in this idea?

I haven't been here long enough to have known Eric, but the love shown here toward him makes me wish I had.

This poem was written by an RAF pilot during the Battle of Britain. If ever there was a great whirlwind, it was in the skies over London...and, it would seem, in the hearts of those who have been caring about Eric.

This is for Eric and his family...which includes so many people I see here.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . .

Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or ever eagle flew —
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Not sure if I ever met Eric along the way. I meet many people and I often wish I could remember them in situations like this.

I always take a moment during every chase season, usually at the end of the day with a sunset or storm in the distance and remember to be thankful for all the wonderful things I have witnessed.

Life is very fragile.

Very well said and I agree completely. I'd like to have met Eric, but never did. I hate to hear the very bad news and I will keep him and his family in my thoughts and prayers.

It's sad news and my thoughts are with Eric and his loved ones. It sure seems like he's had a wonderful life filled with a very loving family and lots of loving friends. But you know what, can't you just picture him chasing all the storms all over the world when the time comes? He won't have pesky money and mileage to hold him back, he'll be able go wherever he wants whenever he wants.
