Well, I figured it was close enough to start the annual chase partner thread for 2009. Please do not post your address or phone number openly for your own safety/security. Those can be exchanged privately via email or PM.
We will be subscribing to WeatherTAP before too long too.
I'm looking for someone in the Denver area to share costs with too. I've chased the last few seasons sporadically with partners, but most of the time by myself. It sure would be nice to have a co-pilot to help with roads and the computer and such. I've got vacation from April 29-May 6, May 20-24, and June 10-17. Plus, my schedule of 24/48 gives me open days outside of those blocks for quick 2 day excursions if conditions warrant. Anyone interested, shoot me a PM.
I'm mobile equipped with GR3, SN, and Streets and Trips...all GPS interfaced. I'm looking at getting my HAM before next season, so there's a possibility I could have a 2m/70cm radio if all goes well. I have a simple point and shoot, so if anyone has a good still/video camera, you're more than welcome to bring that too!
Travis, we'll keep in touch. My number is on Facebook.
Hi,
I came across your website, I hope you don’t mind I drop you a mail as I hope you might help me out.
My name is Marny, I live in Belgium where I am an active storm chaser. Two year ago I visited the States, Oklahoma and Denver during the storm season. We were a bit unlucky with the weather at that time, so I would like to return this season.
As I will be coming alone, I would like to team up with someone local or a local team, end may beginning june or so.
I will have a SUV 4WD available for the whole period, I have a special driving training so I can offer myself and vehicle as part of a group or backup or whatever would be conveniant.
Perhaps you would like to find out more about me or hook me up with someone who would be interrested.
I am a pilot, so if the weather is too good to chase, I can take you up for a trip ;-)
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read my mail and maybe I’ll talk to you later.
Kind regards,
Marny
