After seeing the thread in the B&G with the May 2011 forecast from the CFS, I decided to put together a loop using the images from WxCaster:

Definitely looks like an interesting storm pattern across the MS Valley, Ohio River Valley, and Great Lakes. It's also interesting to see that southern lower MI / and southward / remain on the warm side of most of the systems.

Hey Robert, sorry to go off topic a bit but I just wanted to let you know I fixed your post by embedding the youtube link you were having trouble with.

If your embedded video just appears as a white square do not worry as it just means that the video is properly embedded but has not loaded yet. Flash player can at times be a little slow so just give it a second and if it still doesn't load just refresh the page.

For everyone else if you have any questions on how to embed a youtube video into your post just click here: http://www.stormtrack.org/forum/showthread.php?t=25542

Continuing with the theme:

(just in case) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3U3Nc2RLMc

Unfortunately it cuts out at 1 min, as I'm using the demo of the GIF to AVI converter. If anyone has another solution, let me know.

Robert,

I checked the code on the last youtube video embedded and I noticed that you didn't correctly do it. You do NOT include the full url to the video. Take a look below at what I mean.

INCORECT:
PHP:

CORRECT:
PHP:
W3U3Nc2RLMc[/youtube

Every url for youtube videos start off like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v= When posting a video on ST you only need to include the video's id which is the part that follows watch?v=

Hope this helps. I would have sent this as a PM but it looks like you have them turned off.

I used the mac program "Motion Stop!" to create the convective outlook video. These videos are a lot of fun to make, so I made another one with HPC surface analysis maps from May 2010. Youtube downsampled it too much even at 1080p, so I put up a decent 720p version on my website:
