• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

The Moto Olympus is the Etna like phone for ATT which is supposed to launch before the Etna. I've read the Olympus will launch on ATT in January while the Etna will be March, maybe February (fingers crossed!) on big red.

The code names can be pretty cheesy and a pain to keep track of. Anyhow, the Etna and Everest would be a pretty sweet combo if the rumors hold true! Hopefully we'll know for sure following the CES which goes from Jan 6-9th.

Olympus! That's what I meant hahaha...Not sure if you saw the video from last week at a Google event, but Eric Schmidt actually had the prototype of the Moto tab on stage showing off the new Google maps. Looks awesome. It better have a USB port though (my biggest complaint about the iPad). Anyway, I'm actually going to CES to check out all of the new Android awesomeness about to drop this year. Good times will be had...:D

Yeah, I saw the video and you're right, it looks awesome! Going to CES would be so cool, I'm definitely jealous!! You gotta let us in on any inside info and/or hands-on details for any upcoming Droid goodies.

Check out the latest Etna rumor from Droid Forums:
Now onto the Etna, the monster from Motorola that is supposed to release February/March on VZW's network. There is some rumor (here we go with that word again) from a VERY reliable source on HoFo who has eluded that Motorola's Etna will be sporting the same specs as the "Stingray". To paraphrase his comments "all that tech and hardware packed into a handset should be pretty amazing".

March seems so far away!!

Ever since i have been a member on here i have never been able to use the search. Yes i have contacted Mods several times, but still no luck. Anyway's, if someone has the new HTC EVO 4G then please let me know if it has a one click root available like from Z4Root. Also of course i want to tether-free. I have a Droid 2 from Verizon with Z4Root, Barnacle Tether, and PDANET, but Sprint is about $50 cheaper overall with my current unlimited everything plan. I have searched other forums but have read answers that say yes and no. Just want to be sure before i switch. Thanks

I have an EVO and a Moto Droid...

I have not found a 1 click root method for the EVO.. I did root it, but still could not get WiFi tether to work (Barnacle).. You can still do the PDAnet though

www.unrevoked.com is a good root for the Evo and rather painless.

If someone needs a EVO I have a new one in the box I would let go for $200... let you upgrade early or not burn your upgrade let me know.
