Surprised I haven't heard any discussion today's potential, especially since the RUC is painting a pretty nice picture for portions of western no TX and adjacent portions of the TX panhandle and sw OK by late afternoon. Specifically, the latest RUC I looked at had CAPEs >6000 and 300-350 helicity near the SPS area by 0z. Sure, absolute wind speeds are pretty weak, but the strong directional veering is creating good shear profiles... I'd head down to SPS / Vernon/Quanah area if I didn't have a prior engagement tonight...
