Interesting:

SEVERAL TORNADOES HAVE BEEN REPORTED BY STORM SPOTTERS AND CHASERS IN REPUBLIC COUNTY.

Not often you hear storm chasers referenced in a short-fuse product.

It would seem there are really two storms here: the original storm that formed in Thayer County and the newer storm that formed along the flanking line across the border in KS. The original storm looks to be weakening - makes sense given how it's eating the southern storm's precip. The southern storm has taken on a small kidney bean appearance, although I'm having a hard time finding any sort of couplet. Like Stuart pointed out, the front may have undercut it.

^ fellow stormtracker Walker Ashley has bagged 8 tubes (one potentially violent) today and is currently following the tail end charlie in Kansas awaiting another.

Albany Tornado

I talked to a buddy of mine chasing this storm. They reported major structural damage to the town of Albany. They estimate F2 to F3 tornado. They said it was a wedge and nearly got swept away by the storm. They said, "The circulation was so large, they were on the outer edge before they new it. They reported the car started getting sucked off the road before it pushed away. They are still seeing another large funnel at this time near Bethany.

Just heard from Matt Biddle. They are following that amazing cell that started in Nebraska. Right now they are in Clay Center Kansas. He said it has produced so many tornadoes that they have lost count. No mile wide wedges or anything, just classic stovepipe tornadoes. He reports a reorganizing wall cloud currently with NO tornado on the ground as of 630central.

Amazing!

Looks like three new tornadic supercells are being "born" in the Topeka area. This could be bad news for the more densley populated areas in that part of today's high risk area.

The environment these storms are firing in is SO unbelievable. Only TWO radar scans after they pop, they look tornadic!! Unbelieveable--definitely a historic day in the making.

Linn County Missouri

AT 751 PM CDT...LAW ENFORCEMENT REPPORTED MULTIPLE HOMES DAMAGED
AND LARGE TREES BETWEEN 5 AND 10 MILES EAST OF BROOKFIELD. A
TORNADO IS LOCATED NEAR BUCKLIN...OR ABOUT 12 MILES EAST OF
BROOKFIELD...

Im getting nervous for the KC metro. Those tornadic cells are heading due east from topeka. Maybe a little south of the CBD but the South metro and KC area is definitely in the bullseye.
