• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

The temp 53 at 3:00 PM started to rain around 5:00 PM temp fell to 40 at 5:30 snow mix with rain. Then at 7:00 PM changed over to all snow down to 34 with moderate snow accumulation good dusting at this time on ground and cars are white. I love Oklahoma weather.

We just had the very fringe effects of this storm...could see it snowing way up above this afternoon, but it all disappeared before it reached ground. Next weekend, there will likely be tornadoes where it's snowing today so this truly will be the last big cold blast from old man winter.

Aloha!!

Light snow/rain mix in North Central OK this evening. Should be ending pretty soon. No accumulation and barely 2/10 inch of total precip. However, it's down right chilly! Temp is hovering at 34, but promises to drop like a rock soon.

I was driving on I35 through Kansas last night on my way to Ft Worth and it was unusal seeing the Flint Hills covered white with snow. It was a wild site to see for April!!!

Here is some video of how hard it was snowing last night. This is very near OOLOGAH OK. Look at how big the snow flakes are.

all in all they recieved about 1/2" of snow accumulation.
What would be the odds of a little bit of lake effect snow immediately south of the lake saturday morning with a N wind of 5-10 and a 30 degree temperature difference????? Maybe on the south side of Keystone where you get some lift???? I dont know a whole lot about it, who knows it may all just be fog but it would be rather neat.

We actually picked up around 2" out here in Andover, KS. Started snowing around 11am and didnt stop until after I got home around 730pm. The snowflakes were huge around 345pm. Id say the flakes were about the size of silver dollars at one point. Looking forward to next weeks warm up and the next trough that should be moving through towards the end of next week. Matt, although you ask a very good question and im no expert but I think u need a larger body of water than keystone in order to have a great enough impact on its surronding enviroment to see any lake effect snow.

Just a touch of light flurry action here about 9:45 while I was on my way to class. Was looking at the models...NAM keeps us cold and dry while GFS puts us on the edge of some snow (better chaces west).

Two consecutive days with snow in Tulsa in April? Say it ain't so...

We had a flurry or two during much of the morning, which then increased to light to borderline moderate snow before noon. The ground was still too warm for anything to stick around here.

The observers at Tulsa International were on their toes last night though, being able to measure 0.4" in accumulation before it melted. That is enough to make this the second snowiest April in Tulsa going back to 1900 (although it is just the third time that measurable snow occurred during April). The record April snowfall here is a whopping 1.7". Since 1900, at least a trace of snow was reported 18 times in Tulsa during the month of April, so that makes an April snow about a once-every-5 years occurrence.

Good thing I didn't pack up my winter coat just yet!

Oh ya, Matt, I do remember seeing some possible lake enhancement off Lake Oologah and Grand Lake earlier this season... February maybe? I think the folks in Norman have also occasionally seen lake enhancement off Lake Thunderbird. I'm not sure if Keystone is big enough to get a real good fetch going; and even the others are marginal and would need a wind vector almost perfectly aligned along the length of the lake and some really cold air to get any noticeable enhancement. But it can happen, even off our man-made lakes in this part of the world.

Gads...

Thought I would never say this:

I'm SO sick of snow..I just want to hurl...

Light snow..~2" of snow expected around DEN tomorrow..

Yuck.

Tim

Just picked up a quick 1/4"-1/2" here in about 20 minutes. During the burst, temps dropped from 39F to 32F. Sticking to trees, flowers, grass, guardrails and signs, but not the roads - yet. Huntington ASOS, 50 miles west is at 28F and that air is moving this way. We could end up with an inch or two by morning.

First April accumulations I can remember since the 1980s living in the Pittsburgh area.

Because of the recent lull in chase weather, I decided to work through the weekend here in Dallas to get as caught up as possible before I have to take off again to chase. The forecast for tomorrow while I'm outside for 12 hours?

38 degrees, 50% chance of rain/SNOW

Mother Nature just doesn't wanna make it easy for me this year, whether it's chasing or making money to chase :D

The Appalachian upslope machine is kicking into high gear tonight with a good fetch off of Lake Michigan. Thundersnow reported again in Beckley, WV.
