360 Degree View - Eastern Colorado "Barber Pole"

Just playing with some Image Stitching software for this season. I only had enough shots of this Meso from 1999 to do about 180 degrees, but it shows the potential. What do you think?

Hey Tony,
It's called ULead COOL 360. You need 2 or more jpegs that are overlapped by at least 15 degrees. You can download a free trial at www.ulead.com/download/trial.htm

I've seen these on Realtor's websites and I always thought it was a special camera that did it but this works with any overlapping snapshots from a digital camera.

Got the software when I bought the Canon PowerShot. Maybe they still package it with the camera if you still buy one

Dang this is a cool idea! Get enough shots to stitch and you could come up with some pretty impressive panoramas ... the trick will be whether a person can force themselves to point AWAY from the storm/tornado to pick up the landscape behind them ... but this could be a super cool project for someone creative and perceptive enough to recognize just the right moment to come up with something really cool.

Yeah that is really really cool. Speaking of panoramas, I went out messing with my PowerShot again and decided to try it. I only took 2 pictures, and as you can tell it was my first try at it, but you get the idea. This will be really cool once chase season starts and I get a little better at this.
