I'll be at the 2010 convention, which will be my 5th consecutive. Although it helps only living 15 minutes from the location of the upcoming convention.

The new location has much more close by in the way of food choices. There are quite a few within 5-10 minute walking distance in the Stapleton area (Famous Dave's BBQ and Panera Bread to name a couple). Within a 5 minute drive just to the north of the hotel, on the north side of I-70, there is a Bass Pro Shops and some other food choices in the Northfield Shopping complex.

I am going to miss it being right at the end of the H line of the Park and Ride's light rail.

Tim,

I hope you are offered another slot to speak again this year. Your presentation last year was awesome! Your sense of humor was great and it was fun to re-live some of the 2008 events.

Booked room and airfare for less than $450. Bargain!

Usually the organizers get a group rate on rooms. I'm not sure if they've set that up yet, but if they haven't, you can probably get a cheaper rate when they do. Let us know if they booked you under a group rate.

I was just pricing it out, and I should be able to get airfare ($136 R/T from Milwaukee) and 2 nights at the hotel for about $300...not bad considering airfare last year was $100 more expensive than it is this year out of MKE.

FYI - poll closed due to malfunction (either by me or the site didn't get the right date). I'll do another one in a month...likely around the time David usually puts up the National Storm Chaser Convention **Official Thread**

But continue discussion here by all means. I voted "too early to tell", but I missed last year and would certainly like to go this year". I've been to 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2008 conferences.

I'll be attending again. I always look forward to seeing all the little people who like to talk ***** in forums and chats. They aren't so big when not they're behind their keyboard it turns out.
I have to say I'm excited about the potential new venue. That Red Lion where it has been held in the past has very nice common areas but the rooms left a lot to be desired. I know they were working on a renovation though so maybe things have changed.
I wonder why Roger made an announcement on another board first?

The elevators might be more reliable in the new hotel... :(

(Several of us were trapped on the elevator for about thirty minutes including Steve(OK) at the last session.)

Yea the elevators...
Most of us were posting to facebook "STUCK IN A ELEVATOR AT CHASERCON!" while Bob Hall calls for rescue...

I remember the oxygen level dropping in a hurry - well, at least it did in my mind...
I was standing in the back yet I was first one off when the guy finally freed us!
