Stroms now going severe in southern Texas and a storm capable of producing a tornado is moving towards San Antonio but may stay north of it if it moves NE. Is anyone chasing these storms?

Sorry for the title mistake it is fixed.

I don't think this is going to be a tornado event... Not seeing anything on the radar or in surface obs that would scream at me.

*maybe should add Oklahoma to this thread*

from the SPC:

"URGENT PILOT AND SPOTTER REPORTS
INDICATE THAT BRIEF TORNADOES HAVE BEEN OCCURRING VCNTY ENID"

This appears to be similar to the landspout event yesterday in the vicinity of Lubbock. Very Interesting!

Well, according to another chaser, 4 tornadoes were observed today in Southern Texas. After successfully nailing the bust yesterday, Rob, looks like you are wrong today.

Hasn't been a widespread tornado event, but there have certainly been a few reports where the moisture is more robust today ahead of the advancing upper level system.

I don't see any reports of a TOR anywhere, but I'll take your word for it.

But what's your point? How does your post add to the purpose of the NOW thread?

There was indeed a tornado near Davine Texas I believe earlier today. It is being shown on TWC but alot of us hate that channel. The storms down in far Southern Texas are starting to crank a bit with max dbz of 64. I wouldnt mind bein there to take some lightning shots. Grlevel III shows base of those storms at 10000 tho.
Tornadoes in Texas....keep them coming mother nature!
