A couple favorites from this year...how I wish I had better equipment back in the 2002-2004 time frame...
I love Bill Harks shot of the church and tornado from May 24th. This is mine from a good mile or two further east and a minute or so before Bill's shot.
This was shot south of Kiester MN looking north towards this ground hugging meso with multiple vorticies.. The lighting was pretty incredible from this perspective.
I need to put the video camera down and pick up the dslr more often once the tornado touches down. When there is no tornado in progress I'm all about "oh, let me shoot a still of that!" but once a stupid tornado enters the picture I can't bring myself to get my face out of the video camera.
Favorite still image is probably from July 22nd in southern Wisconsin.
