This is my first write up for the Scalia Lab website I run at Ohio University. I have to write up two to three of these a month for the rest of the school year. I was wondering if you guys could read it and give me some feedback on it. All feedback is welcome, positive or negative. I just need to know if I took a good approach and if its easy to read, etc.

You can read it here:
Why such a dry September?

Thanks in advance! Try not to be to harsh! haha:)

Frost or Freeze

I remember Athens weather being very dynamic in October, though not quite as much as in March and April of the year.

I remember seeing everything from a day of 80 degrees to a rather standard round of early season snow flurries around 10/22, many of the years I lived there.

I once saw a great thunderstorm with marble sized hail, I believe in October as well, and every year spent many a roll of film taking pictures of the most beautiful Falls I had seen anywhere I lived, except at Glen Helen Woods in Yellow Springs OH.

Fall 1970 October brought many Friday nights or Saturday nights with chilly, rainy weather.

Shouldn't be long, unless the climate has changed appreciably that you will be seeing a brief pre-Thanksgiving snow blitz, perhaps along an advancing warm front, then no more snow possibly till January. I witnessed that on at least two of my 4 years living there, just before Thanksgiving break.

Finally got the complete winter recap up! I break it down number-wise and compare both of my winter outlooks to what really happened.

I also take a look at the two major severe weather events that occurred in January and February 2009: the major ice storm in Jan, and the significant wind event in Feb.

Thanks for checking it out!
