Wanted Storm Chasing Partner

In the past I have always chased by myself. This year I an going to chase harder and longer. With more miles and more days on the road come more expense. I thought this year if someone wanted to chase with me and help on expenses I will have a seat.

If you find youself in the north Texas area while heading to Tornado alley and you have enough room for two tripods and gear I'll go. I always cover all fuel costs and food costs for the one driving. PM me if you want details.

Hey Kelley,
Do you mind throwing out a few more specifics about what you're looking for in a partner? I watch your live chase feed regularly. you are one of the chasers I enjoy watching most because of the variety of camera angles you capture from and the audio. There's always a lot going on in your vehicle in terms of discussion points: route planning, cloud features, radar data, etc. And it's enjoyable and interesting to listen to it all.

Anyway, some examples of the specifics I refered to:
- are you looking for different people in different locations to chase with or are you interested in getting yourself one person you would chase with regularly? You seem to be out chasing a lot (not sure if you're retired) but I assume you're looking for someone dependable to join you for the long haul (meaning all season and on all chases).
- what is your chase time frame looking like? You looking for someone to join you all May and all June? Or, did you just want to play each chase by ear?
- what level of experience are you looking for in the people you chase with?

Any other details would be great, too.

I don't mind pairing up with someone if its close and convenient for both parties. Honestly, I'd like to see what other people are using for radar/cameras and other tech. I'm not particularly great with intercepting and consider myself lucky for catching the tornado I did last year. I'm still scared to death of getting caught in hail and losing my windshield.

That's exactly why I avoid core punching. I'd rather miss the tornado for structure shots in those cases. I've seen some nasty HP beasts out there with 5" hail. I've had a few close calls with hail but no damage since 1999.
