I've got the Verizon Wireless Jetpack 4620L which works very well honestly, and can be had off amazon for $40. I'm not sure if it'd be possible to activate without a SSN though. That's a pain.

Skip, after talking to you, Adam and Ben a few weeks ago, I checked. It will! It was kind of a pain dealing with Verizon, but I put in a new SIM card in my (Pantec) JetPack and boom, all set. I have their 10GB plan because I use it at home for my internet. It's working great!
