TWISTER 2 in 3-D?

I found his interest in the Tri-State tornado to be cool, sounds like he researched that event quite a bit.

Reading through the article Bill Paxton says he found video of the Tri-States tornado in Murphysboro's Historical Society. Has anyone ever seen this footage? I was always lead to believe there was only a few stills out there, but not any footage.

Before I started chasing in 2001, I was always watching Twister. Since I started chasing I could PROBABLY count the number of times I've watched Twister in FULL on one hand. However, if there ever was a Twister II, yes I would go see it :)

I think with the likes of 'Twister Sisters', 'Storm Chasers', and 'Tornado Road' it would be difficult to make such a movie successful to the masses. By that I mean, with all the 'reality tv' why bother? But, I know that the weather-minded would love it, and I'd totally go see it and own it on blu-ray regardless!

This is not an unusual trick from folks in Hollywood. Actors, writers, etc. talking about a project when there are no plans. It is an attempt to gauge reaction. This is hollywoods version of a prototype car. It may look cool, and have design elements that get used, but more often than not, nothing goes forward and is just a way to fell out market and design trends.

I would not hold your breathe.

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing... I only hope the final is shot in Missouri (and Illinois/Indiana) for real.

As hokey as Twister is to someone who is a bit more aware if reality.. It was a lot of fun ...Crushed ice hail and all...

I think he is referring to some old movie footage of the damage. I do remember seeing some old b/w footage of the resulting damage from the tri state tornado. There may have even been some aerial shots. There is no footage of the actual tornado. I'd love to see a Twister 2

Even though the first movie had many things wrong with it the acting was great, the soundtrack was great and the movie was very exciting. I would defiantly watch Twister2 if they ever make it.

Yeah, I loved the soundtrack. Even managed to track down a copy of the ever elusive movie score cd.

IF they can come close to getting it right this time AND Eddie Van Halen comes back for the soundtrack...I might be interested.

I love twister. Yes it has major flaws and just bad replacements and I love to pick the movie apart every time I see it but come on its a big budget movie about tornadoes. Tornadoes and sever weather have always taken a back seat in movies. Here they are the main bad guy (other than that nightcrawler Jonas who is going to make money from probing a tornado. Wish I knew how to get those stupid corporate sponsors to shell out for my chasing addiction.) Don't foreget that a twister 2 will more than likely spawn at the very least 4 to 6 new scifi channel tornado disaster movies like TORNADO with Bruce Campbell or how can we forget the tornado orgy that was Night of the Twisters. So yes the used shaved ice as hail, used meterolical terms in a completely no nonsensical way, and please for the love of god don't spawn tornadoes in the middle of a storm with out even at leas a hint of a wall cloud this time ILM, but it is a movie about Tornadoes first with a love story mixed in. And it will be in 3D, think about it 3D flying Cows!!!
