5 PM advisory states the system is still a broad low - No TD yet, yet convection continues to organize. Its also moving now W / WNW at 10 MPH.

This singing "fat lady" really does stink...

We now have Subtropical Storm Gabrielle.

Ha. I told you it was going to be a tropical storm by the end of the day. You can't spell sub-tropical without tropical.

NHC has this transitioning to tropical in the next day or so.

9pm EDT Saturday night satellite pics show a flare up in intensity over and to the west of the center of circulation. BUOY obs show 25-30mph winds and seas 7-8 feet near the storm. Not overly impressive yet...
