• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Things To Do During A RIDGE

Man, if you're going to go to Cedar Point, at least ride Magnum XL-200! The Top Thrill Dumpster is probably one of the most boring, unimaginative coasters ever built :)

True ... I rode them all there, and each one was different.

Top Thrill Dragster is just a "quick shot" and "bragging rights". Magnum XL was awesome, and so was Millenium Force!

MAN do I miss Cedar Point. Stuck here in the ridge that is (was) Tornado Alley. Only wind in my hair would be on Magnum XL-200 or Millennium Force!!!! *sigh*

Chris and all,

I have relatives in Dallas, so I go see them when death ridges strike during my chase vacations.

Also, being an aerospace enthusiast, I visit museums such as the Kansas Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, KS, the Stafford Museum in Weatherford, OK, and the American Airlines Museum outside of Dallas.

Well, I guess I should have stayed home to get an early start on hurricane season. While I'm up here in SD and NE positioning under "SEE TEXT" SPC risk areas, my home state is experiencing tropical storm force winds, embedded supercells, flooding rains, and oh yes, even tornado warnings. Yeah, I've done a lot of the sight-seeing type of things to pass the death ridge time and still do, but I'm a little too depressed right now to list my favorites. On a more positive note, I might have a job when I return home, so no, I'm not drowning in sour grapes, just a bit disappointed for the time being.

Good day all...

Terror is coming to the Plains...

Time to head to Sante fe, NM. play in the monsoon rains and some poker at the casinos! :). maybe a few rounds of golf.

There is always June and a few nice slow moving LP's in the panhandle and east colorado.

Florida/Gulf coast does seem like a good play now. If I had a fixed vacation I'd probably be heading down there at least for a few days.

Ha ha, I love the pics! Too funny, the SPC outlooks and others. Know what I'm doing during the Ridge, I'm coming to ST to get my laughs for the day on this topic! Thanks, guys and gals. =]

Those pics of TTD - yipe. There's a limit to insanity, and this coaster exceeds that. Have another name for it - Rip Yer Face Off. 'Course, trying to stay sane during a Ridge is past the point of insanity, so ... *sigh*

Save a spot in line for me, 'k?
