• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Ive been looking at different weather programs and I downloaded the free trial of this and messed around with it for a month. Just curious if anyone use this or have any feedback on the program.

www.stormpredator.com

It seems pretty decent to me. Especially for the price. I just wish the trial had all the features available to try but its pretty limited.

rdale: Thank you for the links. I found those but with the newest reply in there being over 3 years old I thought there may be new(er) members here or additional insight from others about the program that is a little more up to date.

I think there's a reason GRX threads get discussion every few weeks and Predator gets talked about every few years...

What do you want to know about SP? I use it on my desktop to upload radar to my website and send text to my family but when I chase I use GRlevel. SP does have GPS support now but the high res maps are not although they are being worked on.

I basically just wanted to know if SP was worth the money or if there was something better or comparable for similar money.

GRX looks decent. I downloaded the trial to mess with it.

Do you use GRLevel 2 or 3?

For what Sp is and does I think it's worth it. GRlevel3 has more options/flexability for chasers and that is well worth the money too.

SP was designed for the casual pc user/average weather watcher.

Thank you for your insight and feedback guys. I appreciate it.

We had some regular thunderstorms go through my area tonight and have been messing with L3. I really like it actually. Seems better to me than SP.

Grlevel3 blows the friggin doors off Storm Predator. There really is no comparison at all. Grlevel3 is a great radar program for chasers and weather enthusiasts. In comparison, SP is nothing but a toy.
