Storm Chasers clog roads in Barber County KS

While your intentions are good, you need to put some meat on that idea first. 1) How is this person going to travel from location to location to speak to the press, police departments, and fire agencies? 2) It can't be a storm chaser since this person will be speaking to the agencies - not chasing. How would that work? 3) Who is going to pay this person? 4) Why is the media going to interview a spokesman instead of someone actually in the storm? 5) If a sheriff hates chasers because they plugged up his road, how would this spokesman fix it?

I disagree. In order to implement your idea chasers would have to create an official society. Not all chasers would become a part of that society, and thus your MRO would not speak for them. The issue of having an official chaser database has been kicked around on this forum many times in the past, and here we are, without one in 2016. I doubt it will ever happen.
