• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

chaser arrested

I have been pulled over more than once while driving through small Texas towns when storm chasing. Was not speeding or anything. We always get seperated and interrogated privately. I know they are looking for drug runners. I guess I must look like one! Even had a gun pulled on me. The cop saw a gun sticking out from under my seat. It was the leg from my tripod.
Thinking about changing my chase vehicle to an old ford pickup with a couple bails of hay and wearing a Decalb seed hat. Might even get a mouth full of chew. Not draw so much attention to myself.

I guess and hope this case will just be dropped and forgotten about quickly. It was really just another petty little nothing incident.

I'm sure many folks said the same thing when Rosa Parks was arrested for not moving from her seat on the city bus. It was the law, right?

“The only tired I was, was tired of giving in” - Rosa Parks

The two cases are by no means equal but serve the same ideal. Some people simply are not going to take it in the butt (as Hollingshead so elegantly stated it).

You better make that a Dekalb seed hat, or the farmers will know "you ain't fer real"!!!

That's actually a good idea, in all seriousness. Once I cut all my hair off, I'll be practically invisible out there :-)

That's a great idea! Even in Rocky doesn't want to relocate his picnic, we could have another one there.

Rich,
I can't believe you still have that protest picture of you in your snazzy pants. Even more amazing is the one of me in my sombrero toward the front of the tour vehicle.
