• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Spotter Network Training / Exam in Open Beta

Thought I would 'bump' this to the top of the pile one more time.

Many folks are killing time waiting for the advent of something to chase. The course is not complicated and it's a good refresher even for the advanced folks. This would give you and a chase partner something to talk about besides whose turn it was to go to Allsups for the next round of burritos and sodas. Also give the rabbits a rest from having rocks thrown at them.

And it's no longer in beta or optional :)

If you don't take the training class and pass the exam at the end by June 1, you won't be allowed to submit reports at the Spotter Network.

I will remind all that you must register on the test site with the SAME email you registered on SN with...

I was a dummy and did not and was wondering why it showed I still needed to take the test...I have now changed my email and hope it gets updated soon. BTW, it is a excellent review and well thought out.

Thanks for doing this TA!

Read the homework part while sitting here watching the Lakers/Nuggets game and got an 18/20 for 90% not too shabby for a noob!!! :D

It's almost guaranteed to be in your spam then as it goes out automagically. Take a look there and submit a support request via their site if you still don't see it.

Sent an email. I'm 99% sure I don't have a spam folder so I'm not exactly sure what's wrong.

Could I just change my email in spotter network temporarily while I do the test then change it back to my regular email afterward?

90 minutes?! To take the test? Or am I misunderstanding? If it took me 5 minutes, I'd be shocked.

You must mean to go through all of the raining material and then the test?
