Possible Ball Lightning

Yeah, except in all the power flash examples posted, and all the ones I've seen personally, the intensity changes. Stephine, clearly says the intensity did not change throughout the duration. How long was the duration, anyway?

I've heard lines buzz in advance of a strike by a couple of seconds on two occassions, and I've been thinking this charge build up might be a related phenomenom.

I've seen a branch blown into powerlines by outflow winds spark big time when connecting two wires. If it was in constant contact with the two wires it would be a big short (and visible for a long ways) until one of the wires melted in two.
