Good question. It really depends on how quickly I can get it operational. What I expect to happen is that I will release what I'm working on now (with looping, city names, warning polygons, SpotterNetwork locations, etc) first. After that is out and stable, then the AH integration would be next. I would anticipate a substantively shorter turnaround time between this upcoming release and the AH release. As far as release dates, all I can say is that I'm working to make these releases happen as soon as possible. I've made a lot of great progress, but the last thing I want to do is rush a product to market before it's ready as that causes unhappiness all around. I do fully comprehend the value in many of the upcoming features during severe weather season and that continues to drive me to work as quickly as possible.

Just a little update for the group. Had a hard drive crash last week and had to get a replacement sent out (code backed up on a different machine every day). Anyhow, that finally came in and I'm continuing to refine the logic in the code in many areas. One thing that looks to be much nicer is a pretty quick switching between products (given that they are loaded already). Also investigating techniques to see if I can get the rendering speed up too, but that may very well be later down the road.

I just purchased PYKL3 from the Android market and love it so far. As was mentioned before, echotops, VIL and looping would be awesome. I might have missed it before, but is there a possibility for lightning display?

Lightning is on my list of things to add....would come with AllisonHouse integration. The echotops and other products are in the queue as well.

Hi all,
Just wanted to give a quick update for the users. Progress continues to be made on the next version although efforts have slowed somewhat while trying to clean up issues related to multiple processes, inter-process communications, synchronization, product switching and the like. These are not unusual for any type of application with this level of complexity. Writing an app that does everything it needs to do, without being a hassle to deal with, is a challenge. One of the things being worked on is user perception issues related to the wide variety of device processing power out there. Optimizations are made for those using mobile devices (the primary user base). The good news is that once processing power increases, it should be a very efficient application. I wish I could give a date for when it will be ready, but alas, I don't want to mislead anyone. Some days, very quick progress is made...others...several days are spent identifying and resolving issues with tedious debugging. The important thing is I'm still working on it AND the product that's available now is stable and reliable. I want the next version at least as reliable before it goes out, but that takes time.
