SN / RS Logging into Spotter Network on RadarScope

I have tried logging in numerous times over the past couple of weeks. I entered my user name, but it and my email are invalid. It pops up "unable to find matching account." I only have one name and one email. If I'm entering an incorrect password I can't reset it because according to SN I don't have an account. Yes, I've taken the tests and the steps necessary to create an account and I do have an account. Everything worked fine until a RS update caused RS to stop working on my Android. An update fixed that issue, but I haven't been allowed to log in to SN since.

After weeding through your emails and messages the only question I have is when you receive the message “unable to find matching account” that pops up, is that in RS or at the website SpotterNetwork.org? If you could attach the message that would be great. Thanks.

@Keith Wilson - Just to be certain I understand what the current status is:

1. Can you log in to spotternetwork.org on the website?
2. If yes, are you using the exact same credentials to log in on RadarScope? If so. One thing some have found to be successful is to make sure you log out on RS and then remove the app and install it again. This step doesn't seem like it would be necessary to me but it has fixed it for some.

Ok Mark thx those pics are for an iPad.. I'm using an Samsung android phone (G7/J3).. and it's nothing like the 2 pics you posted.. anyone else out there with pics for an android product? Thx!

As Mark mentioned, let’s see if we can isolate it to an issue on your device or with your account so please let us know if you can login on our website.

I'm a previous member of spotter network. Did the test years ago. Trying to register again it says my email is registered. Tried to click on link forgot my username it says my email Is not registered. This is on SN website not on radarscope. I know I'm a new user and probably missing something but please help if you have any suggestions!

In most cases your username is your name. In my case my SN username is Mark Blue, not my email address. Since you already have a valid SN account there’s no reason to establish another. If you recall your password try and login. Otherwise, focus on retrieving that versus your username. Don’t fiddle with RadarScope until you can login to the SN website because you must know your credentials when entering them in RS.

Try the lost password form if you don’t remember your password. The SN system tipped you off that your email address is tied to an existing account. The other field is your username, so try entering your first and last name there to see if you find joy.

So my username was not my name lol! But I figured it out. For others trying go on a desktop. I tried and tried on my cellphone with the forgot username option... it worked the first time on the desktop!

Glad to hear you got it figured out. The device used shouldn't matter but either way, it's resolved.

I’ve received multiple emails from folks using the “Contact Us” link in the footer since Spotter Network (SN) support moved here to Stormtrack about logging into to SN on RadarScope (RS). I’m not sure why this is causing users so much difficulty because it’s a very easy process to accomplish. I’m going to post two screenshots here and any further inquiries via email will simply be linked to this post. <de>
Mark Blue

hi mark: i've been a member of spotter network for about 3-5 years now and a subscriber to radarscope for longer than that. i have the pro tier 1 subscription for my mac desktop and an iphone. i took the course for spotting and for the first two seasons things worked sort of ok. sort of because radarscope would never recognize that i was logged into spotter network unless i updated my position (i'm static), and/or logged off and back on on spotter network and then did one or all of the following on radarscope: quit and restart, uncheck 'spotter locations' and go back and forth between layers and spotters. sometimes the spotters list would show me logged on, but the red dot wasn't visibible, so i had no way of knowing if other radarscope users were seeing my indication.

but after those two seasons, the whole thing quit working altogether and nothing i've tried has gotten the two sync'd back up. and i'm a 35 year computer support guy, so i tried a _lot_ of things. but today i decided to get serious about it and found this thread in a google search and read through it, but i've already done what is in here and more. i've gone back through spotter network and updated my profile and changed some things including my password and logged off and back in. i also went into radarscope and logged off spotter network and back on a few times with the new password. i repeated this on the iphone and on the mac. btw, i can't logoff and logon radarscope because it looks like my subscription keeps me logged in unless i want to update to pro tier 2.

about the only thing i can think of that i haven't tried is to uninstall both apps and reinstall. i figured that since both were not working, it wouldn't be worth it, but i can do this if you think it'd help. actually, i just did uninstall the app on my iphone and restored purchases (which showed active) and settings, then went to spotter network and updated my position, logged on and off there then logged off and on using the iphone and still nothing.

so i'm stumped. something is not syncing up right between these you and radarscope and never really has, to be honest.
