Interesting development in SE China (ended)

It is everything but finish, this is the latest shot:

Is gonna be a long night... Seems to the far north everything is merging into a huge MCC/MCS, while to the south of the convergence line storms continuously fire up. The provincial government issued red and black (maximum) rainstorm warnings for half a region...

Those storm look awesome from radar.

:)

In real the visibility is often not so good cause the very high humidity down here, so they are not very photogenic :(

Anyway this year I have a digital camera and I'll try to catch a chinese storm. Sometimes it also clear up a bit and shows many storm details.

Simone, I just wanna thank you. This has been the coolest thread I've read anywhere in a long time. I hope you do this for all the good storm setups you get out there. :)

Ok :D Happy to hear that.

The next low pressure system is already forming in the back of this one. From the maps it should be a little stronger due to more thermal monsoon effect of the central and northern China.

By the way, last night got several passages of squalls with heavy rain, little hail and strong winds. Temperaure and dews dropped considerably. Everything lasted about 5 hours....

Simone...that was fantastic!! What an eye-opener for me! Please....keep updating us in Storm Track when you get more action like that.
I'm serious.......with each successive shot my adrenaline kept rising and rising. I'm blown away!! I never would have guessed that you get that type of tornadic weather in China.
And I agree..........what a great forum this is.
Thank you again, Simone.

Thanks very much to you also :D

I will make you happy very soon  , this is the analisys for next week:

http://www.hko.gov.hk/wxinfo/currwx/fnd.htm
Code:
THE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE NOW AFFECTING THE NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA WILL WEAKEN IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. ANOTHER TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL BRING UNSETTLED WEATHER TO [b]CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN CHINA[/b] EARLY NEXT WEEK.

The part marked in bold is to point that the position of the trough (extending from central China to the SW towards southwestern China) that here is simply perfect for severe weather, with W-NW flow aloft and strong S-SW flow at sfc.

Dews are never a problem around here: 8)

Thank you so much for sharing all of this!

Australia is still working on getting doppler radar around the country. I believe that there are a few currently in operation, but it's not a nationwide thing yet. They're also working on getting a mosaic similar to what we have in the US.

Hi there ! Thanks to you also :D

I guess, considering how much severe wx you got over there, they'll complete the project very soon...

However, this is the latest shot of today  , practically the base map:

Hi there,

I am now looking at the news on the net.... Trying to translate some part but seems that this low pressure, since May 2nd, brought many tornadoes across central and southern China (even in Taiwan) !!!

Just put the link here if someone got a good automatic translater. I don't have a good one, I can just read some words and guess the article. The chinese keyword for the search is tornado.
