I just spent some time looking through the LSRs as Katrina moved inland, and was amazed at the amouint of damage that occured as far north as Tennessee. Good example:

0900 PM TROPICAL STORM TUSCALOOSA 33.24N 87.54W
08/29/2005 TUSCALOOSA AL EMERGENCY MNGR

EXTENSIVE AND WIDESPREAD TREE AND POWER LINE DAMAGE.
SEVERAL STRUCTURES HAVE BEEN DAMAGED BY FALLEN TREES. A
FEW FIRES HAVE ALSO BEEN GENERATED BY THE FALLEN TREES.
ROADWAYS HAVE BEEN CLOSED AND WERE TEMPORARILY IMPASSABLE DUE TO THE FALLEN TREES.

And:

0445 AM NON-TSTM WND DMG PETERSBURG 35.32N 86.64W
08/30/2005 LINCOLN TN EMERGENCY MNGR

MINOR DAMAGE TO HOME.

0445 AM NON-TSTM WND DMG FAYETTEVILLE 35.15N 86.56W
08/30/2005 LINCOLN TN EMERGENCY MNGR

TOTAL OF 16 ROADS AFFECTED BY DOWNED TREES AND POWER
LINES ACROSS LINCOLN COUNTY.

It's really amazing the power that Katrina still carried this far inland
