• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

HISTORIC VIDEO OF 500 YEAR FLOOD IN NATICK MASS

Nice video. Parts of CT got 8 inches! There was flooding everywhere I went. I spent most of the day helping out a friend in Guilford whose basement pump chose today of all days to quit working. We called Home Depot and they said they had 10 pumps left in stock, but when we arrived just 15 minutes later there was just one, which we bought. In the meantime, another friend of mine in the same area was entirely unreachable all day because there was no access to the house that wasn't deep underwater, you couldn't even walk there without hip waders.

I'm in Needham, MA at the moment and the flooding of the last week+ was similar to a couple of other events I remember while growing up. Call it a 1 in 5 year event, here. Somewhere in the ballpark of 13 inches of rain in just over a week. There's some water in our basement that destroyed a rug. No big deal. That happens every few years.

That's cool stuff, Nick. Where did you film that at? I saw the flooding from the storm in Mid-March when I was home for spring break. Logan Airport saw 6.98" of rain between Mar 13-15. I remember seeing a lot of road closings from Rte. 20 up to Rte. 117 around Wayland.

This second storm looks like it was insane around RI and CT. Boston's 14.87" of rain in March was the second wettest month on record I believe. Amazingly, it was wetter than May 2006, when "500-year floods" occurred along the north shore.
