• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I downloaded the setup utility for GR2Analyst Version 2 off the GRLevelx web site. When I ran it as Administrator, I got the "Windows cannot access the specified device, path.." error. I have Windows 10 Home Edition with all the minimum computer capabilities stated by GR. I checked the certificate for this setup utility and it seemed valid. error when starting install grlvl2 analyst ver 2.jpg

I subsequently turned off my Windows security settings and PCMatic protection. Tried the setup again with no luck.

I checked the compatibility under Properties and it defaults to Windows 8. There is no option to run it for Windows 10. Now I am really tearing my hair out! Has anyone come across this problem installing GR2Analyist Version 2 or any other program from Gibson Ridge?

Not sure if this will help or not but have you tried searching the GRLevelX forums? Maybe someone in there has had the same issue.

I have searched the GRLevelX forums. No luck. When I purchased my desktop PC, I also bought the same one for my wife. She is letting her son use it, but I am going to see if he gets the same error when downloading and running the startup program.

I don't/won't have Win 10 on any computers, but with previous versions of windows there's some sort of bug that'll affect running certain (seemingly random) downloads.

Try copying the downloaded file to another location - your desktop (or even better the root of the drive C:\ ) and running from there. Also try right-click 'and run as administrator' (even if you're already logged in as an administrator )

Good things to try. Thanks!
