In our daily lives, we rely on news outlets and technology to give us accurate forecasts to help us plan our adventures, missions, and even our daily commute. However, when we find ourselves in the field, face to face with Mother Nature, we require the capability to rapidly assess the conditions and predict what’s coming next.

Within the Special Operations community, there is a team of highly skilled warriors that deploy before and alongside some of our country's most elite units, analyzing the weather and environment. These Special Operations Weather Technicians gather mission-impossible environmental data from some of the most hostile places on Earth, and their ability to rapidly assess environmental conditions and predict possible weather changes provides critical intel to ensure overall mission success.

Field Forecasting will arm you with the same skills necessary to anticipate, assess, avoid, and overcome changing weather patterns while in the field. This two-day immersive experience, conducted in the classroom and in the field, teaches students to expertly collect and interpret meteorological data, predict and decode shifting patterns in the field, as well as interpret freely-available weather products to create your own custom forecasts for your exact destination.
