Sue-Ellen updated caringbridge.org with the following info. If you'd like the information to keep track of Eric's progress on your own, please pm me and I will give you the info for accessing the site. She commented their is a "story worth sharing about the info shared on stormtrack" but we haven't spoken yet w/ one another. So hopefully, Eric and his family are feeling the presence of such a caring community.

"Eric continues to be in stable condition with the Drs. monitoring the infection, blood pressure, etc. Right now everything seems to be moving in the right direction. Every day I am personally encouraged by the "new" things he is doing. Today he shrugged both shoulders and moved his foot up through the knee. While these are reflex brain stem movements, they are new, and more frequent. I know it is going to be a "hurry and wait" (we want him to hurry but we have to be patient and wait) situation but we must be patient.
Tomorrow we will meet with the Neurologist to get some questions answered and more information.
We all appreciate the care and support everyone has shown us."

I have chatted with Eric through pm before and he seems like a real nice guy. This is sad news, but hoping he gets well soon and has a full recovery.

Eric is a genuine and classy person, he made a habit of reaching out to new members and making them feel welcome. I'm praying for you, Eric, full recovery!

My prayers with Eric.Hope he recovers soon and ready for some other chases. My first tornado chase(successful too) was with him and James.

Thoughts are with Eric for a full recovery and a lot more chasing in the future. Great to hear he's "moving in the right direction", very encouraging.

Excerpts taken from his wife's journal on caring bridge.org. If you'd like to keep up yourself, please pm me and I will send the info to you. She made the site private.

Today was a pretty quiet day. The Infectious Disease Dr. decided it would be good to put in a PICC line (stands for peripherally inserted central catheter). Easier access and reducing the chance of infection.

H
e continues to have some reflexive responses. The neurologist came in and did his exam while we were there. and afterwards the three of us (his sister, brother-in-law and I) met with the Neurologist and the Hospitalist. Lots of good information. The situation is complicated Time will tell and patience is the order of the day as we continue to wait. His son, Brian, came into town
