I just bought the Wilson Sleek a few days ago before reading this post, based on the online reviews I think I will be happy with it. Just an FYI for anybody looking to buy one J&R Music World has them on sale right now for $75 with free shipping!

Thanks, Scott. Seems like the reviews are for the most part positive and the price is relatively cheap...I just placed an order with J&R!

Thanks for the info Jeremy and Brandon...I will look into the Sleek!

No problem, glad I could help :)

Hopefully when it finally warms up some I can thoroughly test my setup for this year but I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with the Sleek from what I've been reading.

The wireless amplifiers for Droids are now available . One will given away as a Grand Prize at Chasercon . Steve Miller from Oklahoma is trying one out as well on the way to Chasercon.

I just got the new Maximum Signal by SCT Wireless Amplifier for my chase vehicle from www.maximumsignal.net and it blows away anything I have ever used. We went straight to a dead spot and had no service with the unit powered off. We powered it on and all 3 cell phones not only increased from 3 to 5 bars but we all had crystal clear voice both ways on our phone calls. I just went on and ordered a 2nd one for my wifes vehicle since she travels in an area with about an 8 mile stretch of no service. We tested that area as well today and had 4 bars and awesome signal and crystal clear conversation through the entire area going both directions. This is a must have for chasers and even law enforcement in areas with little or no reception. Give Gordon a call since I do believe last I knew he had them in stock and they are now shipping. You won't be disappointed. It doesn't split the power between the phones. Each phone has full power and each phone can be on a different network as well.

The Wilson model mentioned above is thrown in the back of a vehicle of a well known chaser I know of since it didn't work at all. It showed they had 5 bars but they didn't have service so it gives you a false sense of having a service that you dont, the MAXIMUM SIGNAL by SCT Wireless Amplifier doesn't work like that, it actually gives you the service that its says you are getting.

Don't wait, get them now while he has them in stock. This is what I ordered:

And did I mention it fits in the palm of your hand?

Chris...thanks for your review of the SCT amplifier, however the link that you provided does not work (maybe the site is down?). What model did you purchase? Thanks.

With all due respect, mine works great and I know others who use the Wilson device with great results. I suspect something was amiss with the Wilson unit that your friend used as mine gives a very noticeable bump in signal quality and speed, especially for the price. I will probably invest in a wireless amp eventually, and when I do it will be from Maximum, but my sleek works astoundingly well compared to my old cyfre amp. Just throwing that out there.

My first 2 amps were made by Wilson. Neither one done much other than show I had service bars when indeed I did not have service. The last one I owned we left hooked up since it was mounted on the floor of the passenger side of the vehicle and since it gets so hot it made a great foot warmer for my passenger in the winter time. Other than that it wasn't even used. I have owned at least 6 different amps made by different companies and once I found the Cyfree and Maximum Signal product line the search was over. By far the best amps and wireless amps i have ever see or used.

I will agree with you, before the Sleek I never even took a second glance at a full sized Wilson amp due to the poor feedback, but the smaller cradle has had much better feedback as a whole. I would still NEVER buy a Wilson full size amp, I am speaking solely for the sleek. I had decent reception with my Cyfre amp, but admittedly my small Wilson sleek is simply doing a better job. I certainly do not believe this would be the case over the newer line of amplifiers and I would recommend anyone looking for a full size amp go with a Maximum Signal, the results are undeniable. I certainly am not pushing Wilson products, but I am all for giving credit where credit is due and this device performs for the price, much better than I ever expected. Not the option for the die hard media chaser, but certainly for budget minded chasers looking for a nice alternative.
