• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Copyright Infringement Reports (Review guidelines in post #1 before posting here)

Man, I hope Mike's started registering his images with the copyright office. I'd be on my way to retirement by now if I were infringed as much as he is.

When I originally posted the video I did not watermark it so that it could be easily picked up by media and because I was not seeking personal attention; just wanted to get the BS out there in front of people.
I did not watermark it therefore I don't really have much of a valid retaliation and since it's furthering the exposure of the video, I'll let it go.
Maybe Mr. Martin will enjoy his share of death threats from the tivtards.

I REALLY appreciate the mention here in the infringement area Jason. Thank you! This is likely the most worthwhile thread on ST.

You guys on facebook might want to be careful of Byron Rexford. He friended a bunch of chasers today and Jason Boggs and I busted him for claiming a photo of Hollingshead as his own.

Since he deleted all the evidence from his page, I saved it for posterity.

I found a channel on YouTube where the guy takes other chasers footage, splices them into his own video, and then talks over it to make it appear like he was the one who shot it. He calls himself "The Tornado Hunter" but doesn't seem to have a relation to Megan Gould's Tornado Hunters.

Here is a link to his channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheTornadohunter

For example here is one of his edited videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4plltKxNH6M

...and here is the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSWRr1c3UpE

Justice works fast, Bart. The video has already been removed :)

I'm glad it's been removed, but the guy still has like 130 followers that think he's this awesome 'Tornado Hunter'. It would have been nice to shame him into repentance or something.

Also, now that the video is gone we'll never get to hear his words of wisdom again - like when he's talking into the camera and says something like "I'm looking for wall clouds... oh, there's a disturbance over there" <cut to Mulvane tornado dropping>. At least this infringer could provide some laughs :D

I gave him a little lecture on how he might fool the general public, but not real storm chasers. I called him a thief and a liar and he didn't seem upset. I guess he had no reason to be.
