Cold front clouds (Mammatus and virga)?

After the temps here in Denver hit 98, a cold front moved in producing some really neat and unusual clouds. Looked like Mammatus and virga. Thought I would share...







And a bit more good news, the gear in my bag that fell off my freezer a couple days ago, seems to be okay. My 50mm f/1.4 took a hit though as the focus ring got stuck, but seems okay. So far, so good

Great photos Allan! I don't really see mammatus, but I can definitely see some virga in the photos. Glad your camera is ok.

I can definitely see the virga coming out of the clouds throughout the pictures, however I too don't see much in the way of organized mammatus clouds.

I think you are right, I dont think these are mammatus, just virga. Odd looking stuff though

These almost look like altocumulus asperatus clouds (?)

What every they where, they where moving pretty quick. My mammatus clouds came the following evening
