• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

i looked for a related thread, but couldent seem to find one...

last night led me to another weather question, and its something people down here believe very strongly in...

im sure i know the answer, but after being told so many times that "i dont know what im talking about" i decided i would put the nail in the coffin, and ask the professionals...that way, they can come see here in black and white the true answer to this one question...

people out here believe that when its "cold" outside, you catch a "cold"...

i tell em its is a common weather myth...pathogenic growth is severely effected below 50 degrees fahrenheit...i tell em that you would be more likely to catch a cold when its 80 degrees outside then when its 32...50-150 degrees is where the bacteria and other living organisms thrive...any colder or hotter could be fatal for the pathogens...

am i saying that the weather does not advect all these bacterias around the country?

no i am not...the weather can MOVE them around, but thats about it...it does not physically cause you to "catch a cold"...the REAL cause to all the flu outbreaks is not so much the weather, but the way people REACT to the weather...staying cooped up in-doors, staying inside closed facilities such as a place of employment or a school or office would bring your risk factor even higher...

because, in my belief...you get sick from the viruses that are ingested into your body...so if your in a room with two or three carriers who are continually blowing contaminable contaminants into the air, your chances of getting infected inside are much higher then getting infected by breathing fridged air...
