Just a suggestion if money is an issue, purchase a Dell "refurbished" laptop from their outlet section of their website.
I have purchased laptops this way and never had issues, many are worried about "refurbished" units but all it means is that they had something wrong with them..it was fixed...tested again and now selling for much cheaper.
Shoot, I have even purchased a refurbished LCD HDTV before and had zero problems. Dell will still give you a 1 year warranty as well with those units. Anyway, just a thought as this way you could probably get a nicer unit for cheaper from Dell. Example, as of today I see Inspiron 1525's starting at $519 and 1720's starting at $719. Seems pretty cheap to me.
