8/19/09 DISC: IL/MN/OK/KS

3 additional tornadoes have been confirmed by the Lincoln, IL NWS, bringing the total in their CWA to 6, the total for IL to 8, and the day's total nationally to at least 20. Also, the estimated path length for the Loami, IL tornado is increased to 26 miles. Details on all the tornadoes in the Lincoln CWA:

I wonder if they will add the Google map of the tracks. I have familiar hang outs whilst waiting for initiation around the Springfield area and more importantly the Elkhart/Mt Pulaski areas and it would interest me greatly to know the exact path.
 
Well for whatever satisfaction it provides, the time estimates jive up with my video time stamp to confirm that I was actually filming a tornado in progress when I shot the rain wrapping funnel cloud near Rochester. I probably should have looked in my rear view mirror during the white knuckle portion, as the tornado was likely crossing the highway not very far behind me east of Rochester.
