6/11/04 NOW: MN/IA and KS/MO/OK/TX

I just wanted to relay that Craig Maire scored 5 minutes of tornado video somewhere W of Webster City, IA (presumably in Webster County) this evening. There were numerous spotter reports that came in about the same time he was seeing a tornado on the ground there. He can pass along the specifics later as to exact location and nature of the event.

If yesterday tornado count of 49 tornadoes in Iowa holds up, it

I wonder if some of the tornadoes got reported twice...Such as if a spotter didn't know it was already reported, and reported it. Guess thats why its preliminary, but still, even if 20 of those tornadoes didn't touch down, or were reported twice, that still leaves IA close to the 29, which is the top record...
