Looks like the activity has started along the KS/NE border in Red Willow Co, NE. Quater size hail possible with this storm. Seems to be training to the east looks like some ares affected by this storm could see some flash flooding. SPC has issued a MD for portions of NE, KS, and CO. Looks like with time storms will evolve into sups but they should take their time doing so. Anyone in far SW Ks/SE CO/OK panhandle still thinking about holding their ground or maybe joggin a little north and east?

After looking over everything, I'm rolling the dice and betting on the Clovis, Roswell (maybe Hobbs) region. I like the -7 li's (18z SPC mesoscale page) and the backed SE/E surface winds gusting to 15 mph with 59 dp and 1500m - 1250m lcl's just to the east. The TCU and WSM profilers are maintaining flow. It's a long shot but similar conditions have produced isolated tornadoes in past years. Good luck to everyone going north.

Tornado Watch #312 has just been issued for the majority of eastern Colorado, northwestern/western Kansas and southwestern Nebraska until 7 p.m. CDT/8 p.m. CDT. A robust cumulus field is beginning to develop in western NE/extreme northeastern CO. I expect storms will initiate out of this field in the next hour or two and quickly go supercellular. I'll be watching and waiting to see how the situation unfolds. If a more isolated cell can develop and tap into the deeper moisture advecting from the south and east later this afternoon, I'll go after it.

The storm in Norton Co has taken a little jog to the SE and is starting to show weak rotation. Nothing to get excited about yet and I dont think this storm is all that impressive to me but its there none the less although it might be cycling since the precip core has let up a bit and the rotation has just started to show in the last 20 min. If it doesnt develop a dominate mesocyclone soon its going to bow out.

New development in between Goodland and Tribune, definetley a cell to watch. What is that clearing NW of Garden City showing up on vis sat? Its like a big hole in the cu field.

Looks like it developed that mesocyclone alright. Tor warning out for the storm in Norton Co. I was right about it cycling thats for sure lol :) that thing turned into a monster... A MONSTER!!!! A soon as the winds shifted out of the SE the thing started rotating. It looks like the most dangerous part of the storm should stay to the SW of Philpsburg, Ks although they should take a direct hit from the core of the storm.

Edit: New development just north of the NM/CO border in far SE CO. And im going to have to take my statement back about Philpsburg. Its just too close to call at this point. The RFD really kicked in with this storm, hook now showing on radar.

Edit: Man this is not good :( Philpsburg is directley in the path of this potential tornado and the storm isnt letting up.

We're still here in Guymon OK as we have been all day and with the new Mesoscale Discussion 937 that just posted on the SPC website we like our chances and position just fine. Perhaps even down toward the Pampa TX area looks good with the richer dewpoints that are present there. The southerly LLJ is kicking in as predicted earlier today. Happy chasing and trails to all!!

Storm SW of Colby might be getting its act together. I think this storm is cycling attm. Precip core letting up a bit, very weak rotation noticable on radar.

Spotters reporting rotation with the storm in Smith Co. Tor sirens going off in Smith Center. Andrea your right it is showing HP features. ITS A MONSTER!

Edit: Strong rotation being reported SW of Smith Center. Golf ball sized hail in Smith Center.

Edit: New line developing in NE. Rotation present with the storm in Lincoln and Mcpherson Co.

SW KS, OK/TX Panhandles still looking good.

Jody Radzik is gassing up in Boise City, then will head toward the CO line to check out the (currently) crapfest there. I hope we can get some consolidation to that mess, but I'm not optimistic. Not enough cap, apparently. All the other parameters are rockin' just E and SE of there, of course.

*edit Actually, that may not be the crapfest that radar imagery would suggest. With no radar site within 100 miles, they are only sampling mid-levels.

Awesome BWER on the supercell in Baca Co. Colorado. Storm has deviant motion to the ESE now. Unfortunately it's moving into basically a radar hole between the Pueblo, Dodge City, and Amarillo.

Reed Timmer and co. are on this storm...

Jody's seeing striations and an inflow band, but his visibility is not good from his position just N of Boise City. He's moving in closer.

Just south of the storm near McCracken, KS... was watching a HUGE shelf cloud to the west before.. but the top of that has seemed to have split.
Constant lightning, not a lot of organisation but the hail in there looks very intense with the amazing greens in there!
