Thought I would start a talk thread to discuss the chances of supercells over southern Colorado, Northern NM and the western panhandles for tommorow. As of right now, if I chase, I'll be targeting the tri state area of NM/CO/ and the OK PH.

Gonna be heading down to Pueblo and then east to La Junta and Lamar, CO - Hopefully the clouds will break and allow some surface heating today.

I guess its pointless to say where I'm at cause of the looks of things, everyone else and their mother is here as well. We're chillin' at yet another Best Western kicking back and waiting for things to fire in Southeast Colorado. Today has some great prospects, just hoping we can finally get those to pan out! :D

Really nice supercell just formed south of Trinidad right now. Already got the spread eagle shape on radar...real strong updraft. Should go TOR warned soon.

For future reference it's FLYING EAGLE. not "spread eagle", its not a porn storm.

Confirmed tornado still on the ground just north of Logan, NM. I and Kanani are so mad we didnt go today but that was my bad.

Who confirmed that? I was out there and saw some pretty dramatic stuff, but no tornado.

a number of chasers I know including Greg Wright and Jason Boggs caught 2 on video.

Ok. I was sitting outside of Portales, NM waiting on my 2nd supercell to get over farther east when I wrote that. Not much time to elaborate then.

I read Jasons report in the reports thread. I pretty much concur with everything they saw. Looking at his pictures, looks like we were VERY close to each other.

I thought you guys were talking about a full blown tornado there and I was gonna get upset I missed it.

Caught the second supercell south of Portales and followed it SE all the way home. I JUST NOW got home in fact and it's almost 4am and that stupid storm is still going. Lots of lightning and was a well sculpted storm. Would love to have seen it in daylight. Found some 1.5-2.0 inch hail and some suspicious lowerings in the dark. LONG LONG day.
