4/5/2006 FCST: KS/OK/TX

Looks like pattern might be sticking with us, as the spc has put a broad area
under a possibilty of a svr wx event for both wed & thu time frame, then into
the eastern,se part of the country for friday and into the weekend, my opinion
this one could come out a bit stronger then the past one just did, rightnow i'd
say anywhere from n.c. tx into sw,central ok then into ks both wed & thu look
good, with thursday attm appearing to be the best day.. yet again i havent had
time to look over all the latest models, i'll add more later...

As I currently take a look at things, I do not feel very comfortable calling anything this far out. I will say that there is a nice likelyhood of a severe weather event for a nice portion of the country by mid/end of the work week. There may actually be multiple severe events as a progressive pattern continues across the plains/midwestern states.

I am not going to take wednesday too seriuosly when I see 700 mb temps of 9-10 degrees(as progged by 12z GFS) into oklahoma for this time of the year, I will monitor this however because alot could change in 84 hours.

Using 700mb temperatures as an estimation of the "cap" and to limit tornado potential is a paper by Jon davies.
