3/29/07 NOW: TX/OK/KS/NE

There has been persistent, rather strong rotation in northern Palo Pinto county, TX, west of the Fort Worth/Dallas area. Storm will track over southern Jack County. So far, SVR is in effect for the area.

New Meso discussion opened that includes the DFW area. Looking at radar and I don't see much potential. I'm using my phone as a modem so I'm not getting the best data. Is anyone seeing any development around the DFW area within 50 miles or so?

Also, just noticed a Tor warned cell NW of OK City...

Tornado Reported on the Ground in NE Canadian County OK. Media reports another Tornado on the ground W of Cashion....

Cell by KVNX is Tor warned and is showing a nice couplet as it moves north.

The cell that is in Grant co is about to cross into Ks. This storm was tor wrn at 452pm and it expired 5 min ago. Still see some rotation with this storm on the S end. Waiting to see if nws in ict issues warning for Harper co.

3 Tornado Reports in Oklahoma so far today.

I'm horrible at nowcasting or even forecasting days like this but it has been really interesting to see tornadoes forming in Central Oklahoma today. I have been watching that storm in Jack County (TX) with interest for several radar scans now.

I got off work at 21z and headed out east of Dodge... have picked a sweet spot so to speak along the dryline/OFB intersection near the northwestern OK border with SW KS. Am sitting still just SW of Greensburg watching nice hard fists going up southwest. This is in a mesoscale area of enhanced convergence and CAPE... could be interesting here in a couple hrs... I can be tracked on SN or www.underthemeso.com

With the reports of tornadoes continuing, the SPC has replaced the SVR Storm Watch, with a tornado watch. It includes Dallas and Tulsa.

Tor Watch just issued for parts of TX and OK. I'm sitting outside of Denton but nothing looks good around here. Anyone see anything worth chasing? Again- I only have a phone I'm using as a modem so my access is slow and limited to radar, etc. I could use any help... I'm looking at heading a bit west to see if the storms west of FT. Worth do anything... Looks like a couple cells are trying to form.

Well, to be honest, its not the best of chase conditions as said by NWS OKC/Norman, brief, narrow, tornadoes. These are going to be short-lived and more than likely rain-wrapped, so IMO I would advise not chasing, considering it is rush hour and heavy precipitation that could block the tornado, until its on top of you. Just my two cents, but if you feel you can chase, do so, just be very careful due to low visibility in the rain.

The Navarro Co., Tx cell is starting to look decent on GRlvl3. I would not be surprised to se this go tor war soon. Anywhere between Richland and Streetman, Tx, to just north of Wortham, Tx look out.

I like the cell just south of Bowie, TX as well coming up to Hwy 287.

The Navarro Co., Tx cell is starting to look decent on GRlvl3. I would not be surprised to se this go tor war soon. Anywhere between Richland and Streetman, Tx, to just north of Wortham, Tx look out.

3-inch hail now indicated, with a meso sig locating into a favorable part of the storm----Nothing much south of this cell to choke it off.

I agree, it also looks like it would be the best storm to veiw aswell seeing as it isnt totaly surounded by "crapvection." The cell just north of it near Enis and Garrett, Tx is showing very weak signs of rotation, but I don't see it doing much. Also the notch in the line of cells aproching Ross, Tx is another point of intrest.
