[Sam Barricklow]

Tim Marshall reports seeing three tornadoes in southeastern New Mexico this afternoon and evening. The cyclic storm is approaching Causey, NM at 7:27 PM CDST.

Bruce Haynie reports that the tornado at Logan, NM caused several injuries and property damage.

Here is a still from the second tornado we saw today in NM...this is the last still we took...this tornado continued to move north and we were about 1/8 mile away!! The video is INSANE!! I'll post it later. I nearly had a stroke. The first tornado was a large stovepipe from about 2 miles away.

I was on the same tornado and actually watched 4 (maybe 5) develop out of this cell before it got dark. The action at the base of the stove pipe was insane... I had a state trouper actually lead me up to the storm from the south while going through Lovington. Great cell to be on.


I am going to post my video and pics asap.

Amazing photo of the tornado, Reed, well done. We had a somewhat more distant vantage point, we came in late after work from Lubbock but figured it was just as well with the limited road options. No stroke danger there also. : ) We had a peaceful view of 3 brief tornadoes. Here are just a few pics of one tornado, the supercell, and hail covering 206 near Crossroads.
