Two areas of localized potential for a "break-in the season" chase this afternoon. Tornado potential appears to be maximized near the triple point in east-central to SE MN and west-central WI. It's not exceptionally stellar, but could get interesting if a cell can find a localized pocket of stronger instability to take advantage of the shear/hodographs available.
As things stand, it's just out of range for me for an after-work chase, considering tree/terrain issues along and east of the river valley and overall setup quality. If the peak risk area were just 50 miles further south, or if it looked like a higher-end event, I'd go for it.
