2014 Chase Partner Thread

Anyone in or near central Iowa can connect with me for spotting/chasing. I have a fuel efficient car if you want to pitch in gas. I could also hop in with anyone in the area or just passing though central Iowa that would like help covering a share of the gas bill. I'm home based out of Ames, Iowa and I have tons of gear packed neatly into a small "GO bag".

May 24th Saturday Seeking

I got a group of (2) knowledgeable chasers that came from Louisiana to chase but unable to go tomorrow. If you are in the Norman area and are looking for someone to share expenses for a SW Texas chase tomorrow please call anytime at 318-751-8542 Ask for Zack

I'm in Sioux Falls by myself for the summer. Anyone free to day-chase? Specifically looking for someone Sunday up here or down in Nebraska. I have a car and can drive, but I don't have mobile internet.

I've chased the Plains the past six years, with an increasing role in the forecasting process each year, so I at least sort of know what I'm doing.

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone is going through Iowa on Tuesday for that day's setup. I am a teenager and I have always loved weather and weather photography, and would love to start storm chasing. So I was just wondering if I could ride along with an experienced chaser on Tuesday. I can pitch in any cost. If interested please PM me on here.

Thanks

I'm from Phillipsburg, Kansas. Looking for someone to chase with tomorrow June 3, 2014 in Nebraska. Willing to pay for some gas. Been chasing for 13 years; still have a lot to learn.

Looking for someone who would want to meet up and possibly chase Saturday. Looks like it could be an active day, however I currently don't have a partner, and I don't like to drive and navigate at the same time. I can navigate very well and watch the radar and call in reports if someone else is willing to drive. We would split gas obviously unless you bring something extra to the table, such as reliable mobile data, I could maybe pitch in more! I have T-Mobile hotspot, but it's not very reliable. I'm also decent at forecasting. I'm in Wichita, but I can meet you if need be. We would likely be chasing in Kansas or Oklahoma (maybe Nebraska). Shoot me a pm if you're interested!

Where in Iowa do you live?

Hello, my name is Mike.

I'm open to working with someone with more experience here in MN. It has been somewhat of a quiet season (not so much recently though), but I'd still be interested in pairing up. Might not be a very active rest of the season but we will see. I'm a rank newbie to chasing, though I have been a Skywarn Spotter for a while. I don't have a lot of equipement either so, it will be sort of a low tech, low budget deal at this point.

Hey, Eric Matthews here...
There is a small group of us from the KC area that chase together, but occassionally, work gets in the way for one or another, and I end up chasing on my own. I'm looking for other chasers who may want to join me from time to time.

I'm 47, a full time firefighter and medic. I've been chasing for 21 years and chase almost every decent set up within 500 miles. I prefer to chase during the day, then return home once the chase is done.

I don't mind driving, but I do drive a Tahoe, so fuel mileage is not very good. I only ask that you split the costs of gas. I would also be interested in riding along with other chasers if that works better.

If you are interested, call or text me. Eric Matthews ~ 816.591.4663

A bit more about me if interested-
I work daily at the fire dept. with all kinds of people, of all ages, and with all different perspectives; from politics to music to whatever... The point is, I can get along with most everyone and can roll with the punches. I am a non-smoker, and while I am comfortable being around smokers, I'm not ok with smoking in my car.

I prefer to chase with other experienced chasers because I still continue to learn. I don't have a background in meteorology, but learned to chase with some of the best out there. I am very comfortable chasing by looking out the windows, but I am continuously improving my abilities through the use of technologies.
