Since this is a "trial and error" thread for our newer members or those wanting to learn more, I wanted to point out that if this was a real FCST thread in the Target Area, some of the posts wouldn't be acceptable. Again, I point this out for learning purposes as far as forum rules go, and not just to be "negative Nancy" and derail an otherwise succinct, legitimate discussion of synoptic and mesoscale parameters.
In order to post in a forecast thread, you have to post your own meteorological discussion about a forthcoming SVR weather event. Rehashing or simply re-posting part or all of SPC products or NWS bulletins (absent any original content of your own), asking questions (w/out any additional meteorological/FCST content) or posting images without the accompaniment of substantial original meteorological information would not be permissible per the rules. There is some good discussion here, and it appears that some are well on the way to learning, but I figured I would point that out since this is a mock FCST thread of sorts.
