Sorry then there was the one on June 8th

Our best structure of the year was easily the March 30 Rocky, OK supercell. Followed by a close second is the May 29 Glen Elder storm

The first pic is of the March 30 storm the second pic is of the Glen Elder storm.

I have some others that are somewhat better, but I liked this one near sunset on April 23 in TX.
I feel almost certain this is the storm that David Drummond was on the other side of filming either a tornado or funnel. This was near Colorado City I think. There was a tornado that came from it as it came further east toward Merkel. (David, do you remember or do I have the right person?)

I guess mine was the storm near Channing, TX on 5/25/08. It produced a tornado about 10-15 minutes after this photo.

May 29th eastern Osborne County, KS...shortly before this beast produced its first tornado.

Here are my 6 best trophies for the year.

3/30 in SW OK.

4/7 in Archer County, TX. What I wasn't able to capture was all of the corkscrewing mid level bands above us spiriling into this.

4/26 in W TX. "Mini-me" meso. ;-) Had a nice hook appearence on radar. Also gave me a great lightning photo op.
IMG_6192.JPG

5/31 in S OK. This was one of the most spectacular storms I've seen at night.

6/15 in OK PH east of Balko. Yes, it really was this "wooly" looking.

6/19 TX PH NNW of Edmonson (south of Nazareth). Dig that mammatus.

I must add two more from my last trip on 06-17 and 18 in NW TX & SW Kansas.

For us it had to be the June 11, 2008 Ellsworth, KS meso that went on to produce the tornadoes in Salina and Manhattan, KS. The striations in the pedestal base were some of the best I've ever seen!

The Julesburg CO stormof June 1 was really photogenic, and there was plenty of wide-open space to do some photography.

On June 4, we raced west to catch the beast that put down a tornado near Hayes Center NE. This view was right before the storm quickly died.
