T.A.S.C. TEXHOMA AMATEUR STORM CHASERS: T.A.S.C. CELEBRATES 12 YEARS OF STORMCHASING! THIS CHASE SEASON IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF LESTER A. WRIGHT
HERE YOU WILL GET UPDATED WEATHER INFO FOR WESTERN NORTH TEXAS & SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA AS WELL AS SEE PICS OF NATURES RAW POWER & BEAUTY.
NOTE: DURING TIMES OF SEVERE WEATHER IN THE AREA THE T.A.S.C. CHASE TEAM MAY BE OUT CHASING STORMS SO SOME DATA MAY NOT BE UPDATED OR PROVIDED ON THIS SITE IN THOSE SITUATIONS. YOU SHOULD NOT RELY ON PERSONAL WEBSITES FOR UP TO THE MINUTE SEVERE WEATHER COVERAGE. IT IS MUCH SAFER TO RELY ON LOCAL TV & CABLE PROVIDERS OR LISTEN TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO.
Disclaimer: Storm chasing is serious business! In order to chase safely you must have an understanding of severe weather and it's behavior. Our team members have spent years studying the conditions that produce severe weather and avoid placing themselves in harm's way. Please take time to educate yourself and your loved ones on proper precautions in the event that severe weather strikes your area. The best way to learn to chase responsibly and safely is to find an experienced chaser willing to teach you the ropes. At the very least educate yourself about the science behind severe weather. Learn to recognize the signals the sky will send you. Contact your local NWS office for more information on Skywarn Spotter training. This volunteer effort provides vital information to the local Forecast Office during severe weather events.

I put up the main shell of the site and a few chase reports BUT I am no where near finished with it. I have a ton of chases I still need to update and images I need to grab off the camera.

I'm hoping by the fall I will have it completed and up to date with this year and last years chases and images.

These are all great webpages! I just started mine. There will be a picture gallery, some chase accounts, and possibly a section for my meteorology and climatology papers. I will probably add a chaser resource area including some of these fine webpages.

Chase accounts, vid clips, and images....still working on the changing look, so some older accounts may not be fully active just yet.

Mine is www.tornadoxtreme.com. Pics, chase accounts, some video, storm links, and a chase poem I wrote. Currently I have stuff from 2000 through 2004 with most pics between 2003 and 2004. I have older stuff going back to '93 I just haven't uploaded any of it. I have a lot of my chases listed for 2003 and 2004, but not all of them.

Here in mid-Wales it doesn't get as violent as it does on the Great Plains (generally!). But with a handy mixture of mountains and coastlines, it's a great place for the weatherpix fan!!

http://www.geologywales.co.uk/storms has lots of images exploring this beautiful place and its weather!

Cheers - John
