Warning Lights

I'm wondering how many of you guys use some form of warning lights on your vehicles. ( ie lightbars, LED lighting) I run quite a few lights (mainly because i enjoy looking like a christmas tree) but I do not use them unless its major event going on. Which brings me to my second question...When do you use them if you have them? I've seen some people using them to try and clear traffic out of their way to get there faster. I know in texas its ok to use amber. Just curious on what other chasers use them for and to see what the laws are

The annual lightbar thread!!! *Hides under a rock*

Personally, I have an amber strobe, but i rarely use it. It doesnt even come out of my trunk half the time. I was starting to wonder when this thread would come up, let the arguing and bickering begin! :D

Another thread on light bars, seriously? Do we not know how to use the search feature on here? I mean really, do we need another thread about light bars? There are probably 200 threads that already exist about light bars that are probably 10+ pages long, I don't know why we need another one. What new thing could possibly be said on a new thread that wasn't said in any of the other 200 or more threads that exist?

I think the answer to that is "We can NEVER have enough lightbar threads!". HA

Guess not. I am shocked to already see a light bar thread while severe weather season is upon us, I mean generally this is something posted by someone who is bored during the off season when weather is boring.

Rather than a light bar, I was thinking about getting an old golden arches sign and mounting that on top of my rental car. Anybody have a mobile welding setup?

I have a set of strobes mounted in the tail lights and head lights of my Lexus. They are clear and I only use them when I am sitting along side of the road. In Oklahoma, If I remember correctly, You can not have red, blue forward flashing lights. Only law enforcement may have those colors or any combination of the colors. As we have found out in law enforcement too many lights makes you into a magnet, ie, it has a hypnotic effect to other drivers and pulls them into you. Wal Mart also sells bright lime green and also bright orange tee shirts. I use these when out, helps you to be noticed. They are 15.00. In Oklahoma using your lights to clear traffic to get to the event faster will cost you and you can also be charged with impersonating a police officer and that is a felony. Be safe and enjoy the chase.
